Victim Assistance Division

Medina County Prosecutor Dean Holman and the Medina County Prosecutor's Office Victim Assistance Division are available to any citizen of Medina County or any victim of a violent crime committed within the county.

The division offers 24-hour emergency services for victims of sexual assault and survivors of homicide victims. 

  Other services include:

• Crisis Intervention
• Hospital Advocacy - emotional and physical support through medical protocols
• Criminal Justice Advocacy - assistance through the investigation, prosecution and sentencing; victim notification of all felony cases as outlined in the Ohio Revised Code Section 2930: Victim's Rights 
• Court Advocacy - escort and accompaniment at court proceedings
• Referrals to community resources
• Assistance in completing victim impact statements
• Assistance in applying to the Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation Program
• Assistance in Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, Office of Victim Services victim notification process
